A sacred space to reflect and heal.
Devastated by the unexpected loss of a pregnancy or baby, grieving families need somewhere to turn. Thanks to the vision of Debbie Findling and Abby Porth, the beautiful Memory Garden will be the nation’s first such Jewish sacred space and was created through a unique communal collaboration of Sinai Memorial Chapel Chevra Kadisha, the Bay Area Jewish Healing Center and Jewish Family and Children's Services (JFCS) of San Francisco, Peninsula, Marin & Sonoma Counties.
Help make The Memory Garden a reality.
The Memory Garden is in the critical final phase of raising funds to create and maintain the garden. Initial funding already received from individuals, foundations, and institutions has been strong and shows the importance the community has placed on this one of a kind Northern Californian San Francisco Bay Area resource.
Located in a beautiful setting at Eternal Home Cemetery in Colma, the garden will be overseen by Sinai Memorial Chapel serving as a place for individuals, families and clergy to gather for healing rituals and ceremonies.
Sinai Memorial Chapel Chevra Kadisha is registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your contribution to The Memory Garden is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowable
